Yosra Zekri is a Tunisian soprano renowned for her versatile performances in opera, Maghreb, and contemporary music. She achieved early acclaim by winning the First Prize in the Tunisian National Opera Singing Competition in 2010 and secured the Third Prize at the International Opera Singing Competition in Vivonne, France, in 2013. In 2011, she earned her diploma in opera singing from the Higher Institute of Music in Tunis, followed by a master's degree in musical research and musicology. Throughout her career, Zekri has portrayed leading opera roles, including Violetta in Verdi's "La Traviata," Gilda in "Rigoletto," and Musetta in Puccini's "La Bohème." Her international performances span countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Denmark, and Algeria. In 2014, Zekri made a significant contribution to the opera genre by performing the first opera songs in Tunisian Arabic, with lyrics by Emna Rmilli and compositions by Jalloul Ayed. Beyond her singing career, Zekri is also a vocal coach, model, and actress, fluent in multiple languages, including Arabic, French, English, Italian, and Spanish. Her dedication to blending traditional and contemporary musical elements has solidified her reputation as a prominent figure in the international music scene.
