Nezar Omran is a Syrian-born multi-instrumentalist, composer, and conductor renowned for his mastery of the trumpet, oud, and handpan. His musical journey commenced with formal training at the Higher Conservatory of Music in Syria, culminating in a Master's degree from Damascus University. Omran's career is marked by a fusion of Eastern and Western musical traditions. He founded the acclaimed "Damascus Brass Quintet" and collaborated with notable artists like Ziad Rahbani. In 2017, he launched "Nezar Omran and Friends," a project that captivates audiences with its blend of oriental and Western influences. In 2022, Omran relocated to Dubai, where he established "Nezar and the Orchestra," a 20-member ensemble dedicated to performing purely oriental repertoire. Through this ensemble, Omran continues to bridge cultures and entertain audiences with his innovative musical approach. Beyond performance, Omran has contributed to music education as a trumpet instructor at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus since 2010. His unique ability to play quarter tones and oriental maqams on a standard trumpet showcases his dedication to blending classical finesse with Eastern musical traditions. Currently based in the United Arab Emirates, Omran continues to inspire and connect audiences through his diverse musical endeavors.
